A few years ago, I had medical debt that was disturbing my peace of mind. I did not believe I should have been responsible for the amount that I was being charged. With the help of Dr. Virgie Bright Ellington I was able to reduce my medical bills and regain my peace of mind. Having received this assistance, I wanted to learn how to help others. I became a Certified Medical Billing Advocate. I don’t believe anyone should have their peace disturbed by medical debt. Especially since 80% of medical bills have errors. Medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy, and the financial strain often is a factor in divorce. Most people don’t have the time or the proprietary system that will allow them to efficiently lower their medical debt or to submit an appeal when medical treatment is denied. I started Amani Medical Bill Advocates because I want families to have peace of Mind. Amani Means peace and that is what I bring to clients. I have combined my experience with this proven system of lowering medical debt with the advocacy skills I honed practicing law to serve families by helping them lower medical debt and regain their peace of mind.
